Ever since Prime Minister Imran Khan recommended Pakistanis to watch the Turkish drama series Dirilis: Ertugrul, the show has been in the news.
Whether it was because of the comments Pakistani fans wrote on the Instagram handles of the cast or because of the industry debate that followed, the show has been making headlines.
Some local celebrities were of the view that the state should be pushing local content than airing Turkish dramas on a state channel. Dirilis: Ertugrul was dubbed in Urdu and is currently being aired on PTV.
