3 Simple Workouts To Do With Kids At Home
Starting them young, will help them stay fit.
Children learn from their parents. This is why more often than not we see toddlers imitating the habits of their parents and these then become part of their own personalities as they grow up.
Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty too recently shared how her son’s interest in gymnastics grew after seeing her and husband Raj Kundra do Yoga.
In a post shared on her Instagram, the star wrote “Children always imitate whatever they see their parents doing. Seeing us workout and practice yoga, Viaan started taking an interest in his health and fitness early on. Kids have a lot of energy and it’s important for that enormous energy to be channelized well. He loves gymnastics, so I enrolled him. But gymnastics without practice can make you rusty. So, we keep practicing... keeps him occupied, active and strong! So, if your kids want to pursue something they must practice because practice makes you perfect, and makes them hungry and sleep well... Stay home, stay safe!”
So, if you also want your child to take interest into the idea of fitness from a young age. Then here are three easy exercises you can do with your kids at home:
1. Jumping Jacks
This cardio exercise is simple and fun, will keep your child’s energy level up as they stretch their arms and legs when they jump and bring them down upon landing.
Place your and your child’s feet together, touching each other’s toes as you both lie on the floor facing each other. Start with 10 sit-ups to ease them into the exercise and then increase the number as you go.
Start and end your exercises with some basic stretches together to keep the muscles strong and healthy.
