Actor Jason Momoa Reveals His Heartbreaking Story Following Game of Thrones Exit
Jason Momoa Reveals He Was In Debt
Game of Thrones is arguably, one of the most popular and highest-rated television series of all time and even though the series ended on a whimper, it doesn't take away from the fact that it lifted the careers of many actors through its brilliant earlier seasons.
Jason Momoa is one such actor. He played Khal Drogo, Khaleesi's husband in the series and was adored by everyone for his powerful and impactful performances during the earlier seasons of the series before his character was killed off.
However, Jason Momoa has revealed how his stint in the first season did not grant him the fame and fortune that his fellow co-stars received from their experience on Game of Thrones.
Momoa is married to Lisa Bonet, who starred in "The Cosby Show." The two made their marriage official in 2017 but had a ceremony in 2007, before "Thrones." They have two children together: a daughter born in 2007 and a son born in 2008.
In a heartbreaking interview, Jason Momoa said:
"I mean, we were starving after Game of Thrones." He added, "I couldn't get work. It's very challenging when you have babies and you're completely in debt."
All that, however, changed with the famous role of Aquaman. He took on that role in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, 2017's Justice League, and 2018's Aquaman, with actor Amber Heard.
