Ali Zafar Lends Support To Usman Mukhtar After The Outbreak Of Harassment Story
Ali Zafar responded to Usman Mukhtar’s harassment issue by relating himself to this scenario.
Usman Mukhtar came forward to share how he was harassed, blackmailed and intimidated by a woman for about a year and a half. He shared the details on his Instagram with a caption that says “My story”. In the post, he highlighted his family was also victimised in the situation while he was harassed in the whole process. The actor also shared screenshot of messages to explain things further, and explained how he was facing anxiety and trauma that makes him come publicly after reporting the case to FIA.
The “Teefa in trouble” actor responded to the claims made by Usman Mukhtar about harassment.
Ali Zafar took his Twitter handle to express how he can relate to this issue himself.
Ali Zafar wrote, “Reminds me of the time I was threatened and blackmailed to back off from a deal with a big beverage company replacing a colleague as a judge for a music show or 'I will be destroyed' before the release of my film. Expose them with facts and evidence via due process.”
However, netizens reacted to the response saying Ali Zafar is misleading the whole issue by relating it to himself since harassment is different issue and the backlash after allegations and case after harassment is a separate issue that Ali Zafar faced. Some people also responded that Ali Zafar is trying to gain sympathies under a serious issue by falsely relating himself to Usman Mukhtar. The singer seems to miss the point where Usman Mukhtar clarified that despite any trauma he faces he will always believe women. Usman Mukhtar’s situation is different than Ali Zafar’s and even the victim himself did not appreciate “Jhoom” singer tagging along.
