Amna Ilyas Goes Over The Board With New Ad!

Aggressive Or Repressive?

Amna Ilyas Goes Over The Board With New Ad!
Amna Ilyas

It’s has only been a while since top Pakistani model and Baji actress Amna Ilyas, who has won hearts with her sultry charm and south Asian melanin, has turned up her online image with slapstick videos, that talk about serious issues.

Amma Ilyas made use of her social media platform and her huge following by talking about colorism and racist remarks that are a common problem in our society. Her humorous but thoughtful effort was widely appreciated by the audience and took no time in getting viral.

However, Amna put a few more videos on her Instagram that indicated she was acting on personal vendetta and trying to settle scores with friends from the fraternity, through these controversial videos.

Her latest venture has also raised more eyebrows than hands. AmnaI lyas recently featured in an ad by a shoe company and the public is furious. Amna Ilyas is seen running after a man who apparently harassed her on the street, gets hold of him and beats him to pulp with her shoe, while she speaks to the camera about the quality and other features of the shoes from this certain brand. The features include “sturdiness” and “great make”, if you want to teach a harasser a lesson.

The idea might be coming from a good hearted effort, the execution translates the repression of this society, a pattern that has been learned and festered over the years for it to be slapstick and humorous for the audience, which it is. It’s unfortunate that when talking about important issues, we forget we have a certain set of boundaries that should not or cannot be challenged out of decency.

Anyway, we think we can appreciate the thought but not the execution that went wayward and broke the ethics of advertising along the way. We wish Amna be clear and confident in her stand and reconsider the kind of content she wants to be a voice for. Wishing her more power from team HNH!
