Ben Affleck Will Return As Batman For HBO Max
Ben Affleck Will Return As The Caped Crusader for Snyder's Cut!
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Ben Affleck will not be returning as Batman on the big screen, for the upcoming superhero flick. Soon after, it was revealed that Robert Pattinson, the former Twilight actor, would be replacing Affleck as the caped crusader.
The news was met with a mixed response with some Batman fans relieved about there being no Ben Affleck donning the caped crusader, while others lamenting about Robert Pattinson, famous for his role as a vampire in the Twilight saga, taking over from Affleck.
Ben Affleck last played Bruce Wayne in the 2017s Justice League, which fell flat at the Box Office, because there were so many scenes being cut from the Zack Snyder film. However, HBO Max, the famous streaming platform, trying to rival Netflix and Amazon Prime, announced last month that it would be releasing the Snyder Cut of the Justice League, amid rapturous applause from the fans.
The good news is that, reportedly, Ben Affleck has signed a contract with HBO Max and is all set to return as the Batman.
Taylor Murphy of The Cultured Nerd reported:
"Ben has indeed signed a new contract and he is coming back. The official announcement is expected to happen either at DC FanDome or during JusticeCon. One of the two, we're going to get that announcement but it's going to happen before September. We're going to get the official announcement and we are going to get the Snyderverse Batman is going to be returning."
Initially, it was being reported that Ben Affleck left Batman because of Geoff Johns’ interference. However, with Zack Snyder back at the helm for the HBO Max project, and hopefully Ben making a return, everything looks great and the DC fans are very excited!
