There could be multiple reasons behind the weight loss plateau such as the body adapts the diet and exercise as a routine and ends up non reactive against the efforts. Or sometimes the metabolism slows down when the body drops weight at a quicker pace. It could be behavioural changes too, like in some cases people stop following the diet like they use to. All these factors could be the reason behind reaching the weight loss plateau.

You can track the calories you are in taking and losing too, and drop all the extra calories that could be coming between your goal.
