Recently big guns of the Pakistani media industry took on their social media to stand up unified in a campaign to raise awareness against the vile injustices and sexual abuse against the young children of our society. Studies say approximately one billion young children have had to go through some kind of abuse in the past year in Pakistan and this is the highlighting point of most of the videos made by these celebrities.
The campaign is popularly known worldwide as the Polished Man, which requires one to paint a single nail blue or red or any color. Since it’s not common for men to paint nails and specially paint one odd nail, the curiosity brings people to ask the reason for it and that awareness is the main goal for this campaign.

Recently the Pakistani celebrities who painted one nail to stand with the united world movement against sexual abuse are Adnan Siddiqui, Moammar Rana, Humayun Saeed, Bilal Ashraf, Adnan Malik. They spoke about how it is the need of time to start worrying about this and try to save the future of this country by safe guarding children and their wellbeing.
The list also includes men from other walks of life including vlogger Shahveer Jafry, designer Deepak Perwani, cricketers Wasim Akram and Shoaib Malik, tennis player Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, journalist and anchor George Fulton, CEO media times Ltd. Sheheryar Taseer, singer and activist Faqar e Alam.
We hope the Polished man campaign starts dialogue and people start acting against child abuse in our country and changes can be implemented for our youth, for the better.
