The sugar rush said to be caused by consuming a considerable amount of sugary items, which is allegedly can make anyone break into a jig and feel high definitely makes Patani look adorable.

But Is Sugar Rush A Myth?

According to pop culture, having a sugar rush means experiencing a high in energy levels due to “eating or drinking a considerable amount of sugar in a short period of time.”

However, science says otherwise. Yes, you read that right. There is no scientific correlation between consuming a lot of sugar and hyperactivity. Studies after studies have proved that the concept of a ‘sugar rush’, often said to be associated with hyperactive children is, in fact, just a myth.

So, all those movies or fun videos showing children being hyperactive after consuming ice cream or a lot of chocolates and having a ‘sugar rush’ are, in fact, untrue. This is not to say that the little children in those videos are acting but that their hyperactivity cannot be linked to their consumption of sugary items.
