Standing up for the truth has landed Julie in trouble several times and this time is no different either. The social media sensation has been arrested in an alleged fabricated case and sent to jail by the Islamabad police.

Her bold, brutal and honest comments and speeches hit a chord with many people on social media. She has spoken openly and in a straight-forward manner about various societal issues like violence, rape, harassment, etc.

A fellow transgender, named Farah spoke up in defense of Julie:

“Our fellow transgender, Rosy, was tortured and beaten. Julie, Sumaira, and I raised our voice against why she (Rosy) was beaten. So In retaliation, the group who tortured Rosy registered a case against us.”

Julie's lawyer said:

“Police should have played their role and discharged the FIR. The DSP himself told me that it is a fabricated FIR.”
