Game Show Pioneer Tariq Aziz Passes Away
Celebrities Pay Tribute To 'Neelam Ghar Icon'

Pioneer of the game show and the true entertainer of Pakistan Tariq Aziz left the world and his fans aggrieved. The legend, 84 passed away after protracted illness in Lahore.
Aziz started off with his career from the show ‘Neelam Ghar’ which was renamed later as ‘Tariq Aziz Show.’ The show holds the record of the longest running show as it went on for four decades.
According to Mrs. Aziz, he was a diabetic and was taken to the hospital as his health deteriorated. Though, the actor could not survive the fatal heart attack and departed from this world.
Prime minister Imran Khan tweeted and paid condolences on the sad demise, he said, “Saddened to learn of the passing of Tariq Aziz, an icon in his time and a pioneer of our TV game shows. My condolences and prayers go to his family.”

Tariq Aziz was born in a state of India, Jalandhar on April 28, 1936. After 1947-partition, he was migrated to Sahiwal, Pakistan.
Famous Show ‘Neelam Ghar’ started in 1974 where Aziz showed his well-polished hosting skills. Not only a host, he was also a poet and actor. He has worked in Radio Pakistan, TV and film industry.

On the inauguration of PTV back in November 26, 1964, Aziz was the part of the inaugural news team. Moreover, he has got 42 films in his credit out of which 33 are in Urdu while rests were in Punjabi language.
In recognition to his services, Aziz was awarded by Prestigious Pride of Performance by then President in 1992. Later on, he joined politics also and served the National Assembly from 1997-99.
Opposition leader Shehbaz and Nawaz Sharif also extended their condolences and declared him as a patriotic person.
Soon after the demise of a great person, social media was full of condolences as celebrities pay homage to the deceased. It includes Mawra Hoccane, Vasay Chaudhry, Yasir Hussain, Danish Taimoor, Fakhr-e-Alam, Ali Zafar and Imran Abbas.
