Many of Hollywood’s most-awaited movies will now be releasing in the coming years.

The outbreak of the novel coronavirus has not only forced people to stay indoors but has also adversely affected many businesses. One of these is the entertainment industry, globally.

According to recent reports, Bollywood makes 60 per cent of its earnings from cinemas. But with cinemas closed owing to the lockdown, the Hindi film industry is going to suffer huge losses in the coming years.

Similarly, some of our most-awaited Hollywood movies are postponing their release amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Actor Keanu Reeves starrer Matrix 4 was only four weeks into filming when the production was halted owing to the lockdown. As a result, the movie has now been delayed by a whole year.  

On the other hand, the 55-year-old actor’s other action film John Wick 4 will now be released in May 2022. Pushing the date two years ahead, director Chad Stahelski confirmed the news.

The Canadian actor has been immensely loved for both of his action movies. While Matrix franchise first instalment was released in 1999, John Wick was released in 2014.

Both movies have garnered much success and given birth to Reeve’s most-loved performances till date.  

Other upcoming projects that the Hollywood superstar will be seen in are director Dean Parisot’s comedy sci-fi Bill & Ted Face the Music and Paramount Pictures The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, in which he will play a wise tumbleweed named Sage.
