The actress took to her Instagram and paid tribute to real-life heroes for their courage and dedication, on World Humanitarian Day. 

Mahira shared a video of the UN’s refugee agency and wrote:

“Today is World Humanitarian Day and we are celebrating humanitarians around the globe, who risk their lives every single day to save the lives of others.”

The actress appreciated the efforts of first responders and everyone involved in easing the troubles caused by 2020 and the ongoing fight against COVID-19:

"These are our #RealLifeHeroes. With COVID19, 2020 is a truly extraordinary year where humanitarians – including UNHCR staff and refugees themselves – are doing extraordinary things to help save and improve the lives of people caught in an emergency upon emergency."

She concluded the post by thanking the real-life heroes with all her heart:

"We thank them with all heart. We salute them, their courage, and their dedication."
