Ace Pakistani actress Mahira Khan shares her experience of meeting the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan.

Undoubtedly, the superstar of Pakistan Film Industry who debuted with Shoaib Mansoor’s movie ‘Bol’ opposite to Atif Aslam in 2011. For her brilliant performance in Lollywood’s various movies, Khan was awarded with the Best Film Actress awards for film ‘Verna’ and ‘Ho Mann Jahan.’

Beside films, the actress has also won the Best TV actress Award for the blockbuster drama ‘Humsafar.’

After raising the heartbeats in Pakistan, Mahira crossed the border to act opposite to the unparalleled superstar and yet another Khan, Mr. Shah Rukh Khan.

The film Raees was the highest-grossing 2017 release in which Mahira’s work was much appreciated by the audience of both countries.

Sharing her experience of working in Bollywood, Mahira shared an interesting story.

An interview is taking rounds on social media where the 45-year-old actress opened how she met Shah Rukh Khan for the first time, “Many other girls gave their audition, and I thought I gave a bad audition, but I memorized each and everything. I met everyone there, and when I went out, I saw Shah Rukh Khan, and it was magical like it is in the movies.”

According to Mahira, meeting Shah Rukh was an awkward moment for her, “I just went to him and said ‘hello,’ but he said ‘Assalam-o-Alaikum.’ How could I not say Assalam-o-Alaikum, that’s my thing. I am from Pakistan; why did I not say that?  I replied, of course, Assalam-o-Alaikum. I was just being neutral and said hello first.”

Mahira’s upcoming project includes ‘Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad’ which is Nabeel Qureshi’s production. Popular actor and host Fahad Mustafa will star opposite to the actress. The film was due on this Eid-ul-Azha but no further announcement has been made about its release.
