Paris Fashion Week Is Going Ahead In September
The Global Pandemic Is Not Going To Come In The Way Of PFW
The global pandemic has hit the fashion industry hard, with designers having to resort to virtual shows, but the Paris Fashion Week (Semaine de la mode de Paris) is going ahead in September.
The event's organizers have confirmed that shows for the Paris Fashion Week will be starting September 28. The French Haute Couture and Fashion Federation made the announcement that the Paris Fashion Week, held in the fashion capital of the world, will be held between September 28 and October 6. The statement read:
The Federation also confirmed that strict SOPs will be followed during the event.
Countries all over the world have recently started to relax lockdown restriction amid the Coronavirus outbreak but the question still remains whether fashion designers will be able to travel to Paris and take part in the Paris Fashion Week.
The Paris Fashion Week is part of the global "Big 4" fashion weeks, the others being held in London, Milan, and New York. It will be live-streamed through a digital platform.
