Reel Villain turns Real Hero: Sonu Sood
Sonu Sood turns out to be a hero

Popular villain of Bollywood industry Sonu Sood has got a rare ‘Hero’ trait which nobody knew. Surprisingly, so if we say that some reel villains are better people off-screen then it would not be wrong.

Amidst lock down scenario, Sonu Sood did not send any email to any entertainment editor to break his news or write about how much he is donating to ‘this and that’ organization. Despite, he is included among the top trending celebrities since few days. His intentions were pure and was not willing to gain fame or publicity. Indeed, we can term it as a real heroic deed.

The Simmba actor offered his Mumbai hotel for people to stay. The migrant workers who wanted to go back to their homes were given a ride. This makes Sonu ‘a man with the golden heart.’

Sonu was interviewed by a YouTube channel where he opened up his thoughts, “Like everyone, we also saw so many people walking down the highways with the little kids, with elders. I thought this is something unacceptable and we have to help them. These are the people who made our home, these are the people who helped us build our lives, and now we cannot let them just walk on the highways.”

“I’m glad I could send thousands back to their native land. Still, the journey is not over. The target is to help till the last migrant reaches his home. I decided to help them because I knew that the whole process of attaining permissions is difficult. I spoke to local Maharashtra government officials, I spoke to different officials in Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka, to get the requisite permissions. We arranged buses and food for the journey,” the actor expressed.

One look at Sonu’s Twitter will leave you in the admiration phase as many celebrities have praised him for the kind gesture.

India’s leading comedian and actor Kapil Sharma tweeted and praised him by saying, “Love you paji”.

“Always proud of you,” Kapil added to his tweet.

Actress Smriti Irani thanked Sonu for his efforts and said, “I’ve had the privilege of knowing you as a professional colleague for over 2 decades now @SonuSood & celebrated your rise as an actor ;but the kindness you have displayed in these challenging times makes me prouder still thank you for helping those in need.”

In a reply to a fan on Twitter Sonu wrote, “Every picture that I receive from a family that reaches their home is an award for me. And yes I get lots of awards everyday.”
