The coronavirus pandemic has brought the entire world to a standstill. Almost all businesses have pushed their employees to work from home, while others have unfortunately been shut down.

The entertainment industry worldwide has been seriously affected too. All productions have been put to halt, movies release dates postponed and award shows cancelled.

The British Academy Film and Television Awards (BAFTA) that were expected to be held on May 17 with nominations to be announced on April 26 have been postponed till further notice.

According to a statement released by the world-leading independent arts charity, the ceremony may be held at the end of the year.

“We are continually monitoring the situation to ensure we are prepared for the challenges we may face in the coming weeks and months. We are closely following the advice of the World Health Organization, NHS and GOV UK/Public Health England, and the safety of our members, guests and staff remains our top priority,” BAFTA added.

While the decision taken by the charity was the need of the hour, we cannot lie that we will miss cheering for our favorite shows or movies at the award ceremony. And we will also miss swooning over the best dressed at the red carpet and judging the worst dressed celebrities.

Remembering the good old times, we have put together a list of BAFTA’s best red carpet looks through the years:

Lily Collins - 2019

Michelle Keegan - 2018

Riz Ahmed - 2017

Annabelle Wallis - 2016

Laura Haddock - 2015
