The world is mourning Bollywood legend Rishi Kapoor’s death and paying tribute to the star for his contribution to the Hindi Film industry. The actor died at 67 of cancer at Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai.

Mourning his sudden demise, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan also took to Twitter and wrote a heartfelt note as he asked for forgiveness from the late Rishi Kapoor.

“Rest in peace chintu sirrr, kaha suna maaf, strength, peace [and] light to family [and] friends...,” wrote Salman, burying the long-time hatchet with the actor.

Reportedly, the two stars fell out at Bollywood diva Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s reception in 2018 during an unpleasant incident.

The 67-year-old actor got into an argument with Seema Khan, Salman’s sister-in-law, as he vented out his anger on her for Salman’s rude behavior in the past.

It is said that Salman and Rishi had strained relations since the Dabang actor slapped his son, Ranbir, at a renowned pub in Mumbai. Prior to his Bollywood debut, Ranbir met Salman at the pub where the two got into a heated argument, leading to the Wanted actor slapping a young Ranbir.

Salman and Rishi had worked in two movies together over the years – Yeh Hai Jalwa in 2002 and Tell Me O Khudda in 2011.
