Saroj Khan Demise: Shraddha Kapoor Says ‘Her Magic Will Live In Our Hearts’
Shraddha Kapoor was an admirer of Saroj Khan Since Childhood
The news of Saroj Khan’s demise left the industry saddened as the deceased had strong and interconnected relations with almost all the starlets of the bollywood industry. From Amitabh Bachchan to Govinda and Madhuri to Aishwarya, in fact all of them paid tribute to the late choreographer on social media. Starlets like Jhanvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor also buzz on internet with heartwarming posts.
Shraddha Kapoor turned to her Instagram account and penned down a heartfelt note for Saroj Khan. Sharing the picture of late Sarojji, Shraddha while giving the caption of the picture wrote that indeed Sarojji was the first woman who started choreography as her career, “Sarojji was the first woman to become a chief choreographer in the Indian film industry!”
Sharing her childhood moments with Sarojji’s dance numbers, Shraddha opened up, “I used to dance to so many of her choreographed songs while growing up; trying to match and mimic her choreography that was simply iconic and amazing! In the end, she praised her work and wrote, “Sarojjis master craft and magic will live on in our hearts always. Wishing love and strength to her loved ones and fans…”
After complaining of breathing issues, Saroj khan was admitted to the hospital on June 20, 2020 but could not survive long due to the cardiac arrest and left for her eternal journey on July 3, 2020.
The veteran choreographer’s last rites were performed at Malad’s Muslim Kabristaan on 3rd July.
Her last choreographed song remains Tabaah Ho gaye from the movie Kalank. The song featured Madhuri Dixit in it. Famous song Dola Re Dola from the movie Devdas, earned her a National Award for the best choreographer.
