Shafqat Amanat Ali has once again melted everyone's hearts with a beautiful independence day song. He is a prominent Pakistani classical singer who was the lead vocalist of the band Fusion until 2006. 

After that, Shafqat Amanat Ali decided to go solo with his music but it did not put a dent on his popularity. On the contrary, he became a household name with the release of his song Mitwa.

Shafqat Amanat Ali is a name synonymous with patriotic songs. For his contribution to Pakistani music, he was awarded the President's Pride of Performance civil award on 23 March 2008. He has previously sung the Pakistan National Anthem on Coke Studio and released a patriotic song for Kashmir called Ja Chor De Meri Waadi on account of Youm-e-Istehsal on August 5.


Moreover, he has also sung a patriotic song by the name of Allah u Akbar. 

The singer is back with another track on the eve of Independence Day. The song is called Ghar Angan and it is a fitting tribute to the country ahead of 14th August.

Taking to Twitter, Shafqat Amanat Ali posted a tweet and shared the new song, much to the jubilation of Pakistanis. He said:

"My tribute to our nation and its freedom - a new song ‘Ghar Aangan’"

The veteran singer added that he poured his heart and soul into this new song:

"The love and pride we feel in our heritage and our motherland are what I have poured into this song. #GharAangan"

It is important for singers and artists to release new patriotic songs on account of independence day celebrations in order to instill a sense of patriotism and spirit in young Pakistanis and Shafqat Amanat Ali has done just that with his new song.
