‘Sushant was a Special Soul, Achieved so much in 34 years’ Says Sushant Father
Sushant was passionate about his work and was a self-made actor
Bollywood lost a gem on June 14, Sushant’s suicidal attempt took his life. The actor who performed and showed brilliant performance in the film ‘MS Dhoni biopic’ was only 34-year old. Up till yet his family kept mum on his suicide but now his father has uttered few words about the deceased actor. In an interview KK Singh, Sushant’s father recalled his memories and called him a ‘Special soul and a self-made man.’
On asking the question about how Sushant entered the field of TV and films, his father replied, “He left for Mumbai without telling me. He spoke to his eldest sister Neetu and left to follow his dreams. He was afraid that I might ask him to complete his studies. He got work in a serial soon after.”
In a low tone, Mr Singh told how Sushant wanted to achieve everything based on merit. “My son was a self-made man. He said I would get ahead based on merit. What happened in the end, I don’t know,” he added.
He opened up about how his daughters spoke to him about Sushant’s acting fondness. “My daughters told me to let him pursue his dreams. He had a passion for this. Sushant was sincere but never rigid. Wo duniyadari se dur tha, apne vyaktitav ka pakka tha. Whenever he was afraid I would not give him permission, he would speak to his eldest sister.”
Moreover, his father continued to speak about him and called him a ‘special soul’. He said, “He was born after so many prayers. Mannat se jo manga jaata hai, wo aisa hi hota hai. Wo vishesh aatma tha. He achieved so much in just a few years, he was a special soul. People cannot achieve so much in a lifetime.”
Sushant died in his Mumbai residence on June 14, Sunday morning. The post-mortem report shows that the actor died of ‘asphyxia due to hanging’ but there are many different notable aspects in his suicidal case as the actor did not leave any suicide note.
