Irrfan Khan was a global actor who lost his life at the age of 53, after putting up a long fight with colon infection. Irrfan Khan gave his viewers one blockbuster hit after another, his legacy has films like Slum Dog Millionaire, life of Pi, Inferno, Lunch box, Salaam Bombay, Maqbool, Hindi medium etc.
Sushant Singh Rajput
The most shocking demise of 2020 has by far been of Kedarnath actor Sushant Singh Rajput who mysteriously hung himself in his room. His death unraveled many Bollywood secrets, including the consumption of hard drugs by popular stars and his death was termed as a murder by his family. Sushant Singh Rajput’s case got his beau and actor Rhea Chakraborty in hot waters with the police and the investigation is still ongoing.
Another gem that Bollywood lost this year was Rishi Kapoor. Father to famous actor Ranbir Kapoor and husband of Neetu Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor lived his life with flamboyance and style but lost his battle with cancer. Rishi Kapoor ruled the box office with films like Bobby, Chandni, Amar Akber Anthony etc.
The actor who played Darth Vader in cult classic Star Wars bid farewell to the world at 85. The body builder turned actor had played many significant characters but his act for Darth Vader has by far been the most loved. With the success of Star Wars, Prowse became a regular on the fan circuit and attended conventions around the world for almost 40 years.
Taking an entire era of cinema with his existence, Sean Connery who gave the character of James Bond a face and an attitude to match, took his last breath at 85. Alex Salmond, former first minister of Scotland, who was close friends with Sir Sean, described him as "the world's greatest Scot, the last of the real Hollywood stars, the definitive Bond."
The death of a super hero in the truest sense was of Chadwick Boseman, who played the character of Black Panther in the hit Marvel superhero franchise. Chadwick Boseman died of cancer aged 43, that he had been secretly fighting for four long years, while he was at the peak of his career.
