The screenplay writer David Simon of the courageous Crime Series ‘The Wire’ opens up about its brand-new episodes.

The Series which was broadcasted by the premiuim cable network HBO depicts Baltimore Police Force leading to an illegal drug deal.

In an interview with a French magazine, accalimed Crime fiction writer George Pelecanos revealed that he is meeting Simon and Ed Burns for a new project in Baltimore.

Pelecanos shed light on the plot of the series which will focus mainly on the city’s police force. He further added to his words that the police is dealing with few scandals and discrepancies among its high ranks.

Simon gave confirmation about the new episodes when asked on Twitter about Pelecanos's interview.

His answer was, "Real. But not a sequel."

From the year 2002 to 2008, The crime series was on-aired for five seasons on HBO. Public applauded the series as it showcased the uncommonly exploration of society and politics.

The prominent cast includes Dominic West, John Doman, Idris Elba and many others.
