Social media sensation Hareem Shah dominated 2020's headlines alongside the Coronavirus and Turkish historical drama serial Ertugrul, but for all the wrong reasons. The TikTok star could be seen snapped with famous celebrities and renowned politicians.

As Pakistanis recovered from a collective gasp over Hareem Shah's snaps with one renowned figurehead, another one would pop up out of the blue and one time, the TikToker could also be seen taking a selfie with renowned cleric Mufti Abdul Qavi.

However, all of that pales in comparison to what happened recently. The TikTok star paid the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee member Mufti Abdul Qavi a surprise visit and slapped him right across the face in a video that has since gone viral on social and mainstream media.

Hareem Shah had her reasons and she made those reasons abundantly clear. The controversial cleric has been alleged to have engaged in a "dirty" and "vulgar" conversation with the social media star.

In a video that went viral on social media, Shah is seen slapping the cleric who is sitting on a bed, and engrossed in his mobile phone.

Hareem Shah confirmed that the woman in the video was her. The TikToker claimed she was irked by inappropriate statements made by Mufti Qavi to her and her friend.

She said:

“I have no regrets. If men like him are punished, there will not be rapes in Pakistan.”

She added:

"He spoke salaciously and we have recorded the whole conversation."

Meanwhile, Mufti Qavi denied the allegations labeled against him and said:

“I was using my mobile phone in the hotel room when she [Shah] suddenly came into the room and slapped me. She then left.”

The cleric claimed he was unaware why Shah slapped him.

Mufti Qavi further added that he said that he has left the matter up to Allah, adding that a snake will remain a snake, no matter how much one tries to befriend it.
