Celebrities Pay Tribute To The Late Dean Jones

Former Australia batsman Dean Jones died of a cardiac arrest in Mumbai, on Thursday, aged 59. Dean Jones pioneered an energetic style of ODI batting and was the triumphant hero of Australia's tied Test against India in Chennai. His services to the world of cricket and especially the revival of cricket in Pakistan will always be remembered.
Dean Jones was in India as a commentator for the IPL and is understood to have suffered a heart attack around noon which sent shockwaves down the cricketing world.
In tragic circumstances, it is believed that Dean Jones, who was part of the commentary panel for Wednesday's match of the IPL, had breakfast and attended a pre-match briefing with his colleagues. He is believed to have returned to his room and taken ill there. Former Australian speedster Brett Lee administered CPR until the medics arrived but was unable to revive the late cricketer.

Tributes from all corners of the globe started pouring in as people woke up to the news of the Australian legend's demise. Dean Jones was incredibly instrumental in helping revive cricket in Pakistan and was the coach of PSL franchise winners Islamabad United, who paid a fitting tribute to Dean.
