Will Eyeballs Accept Tom Hardy As The New James Bond?
Tom Hardy Is Rumored To Be The New Bond

Rumors surrounding Tom Hardy landing one of the most coveted roles in the movie and entertainment industry are gaining momentum. If the rumors are believed to be true, then we are most likely looking at the new James Bond in Tom Hardy and there has been a mixed reaction on social media.
As much as most fans are excited and thrilled that their favorite actor is replacing Daniel Craig at the new 007, there have been some reservations as well, as you might expect from any casting of this high-magnitude nature.
Tom Hardy could be following in the footsteps of Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig.

The current James Bond, played by Daniel Craig, is departing after the completion of No Time To Die. Tom Hardy is reportedly given the 'license to kill' after Daniel Craig's departure.
It has not been made official yet, but there have been multiple reports that the Inception actor has already been locked in to play the next Bond after auditioning for the role in June. An official announcement confirming he will play 007 will only come in November after No Time To Die.
While many fans are thrilled about the news of Tom Hardy becoming Britain's next secret agent, some are upset because he was not the only actor eyeing for the Bond role. Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, and Richard Madden were all heavily rumored to become the next Bond as well. Idris Elba was vying to become the first black James Bond but it seems like he would have to wait for his turn.
I’ve heard a rumor about Tom Hardy as James Bond and I’m totally on board with this. And I would love to see this happen tbh. pic.twitter.com/L8eEkEpodY

PRODUCER 1: let’s make the next James Bond diverse. Fans want Idris Elba because he’s well-spoken and not white

He's not my choice, obviously, but he can act and he wears the tuxedo well.

Back in 2018, Pierce Brosnan, who played Bond between 1994 and 2005, said that he believed Tom Hardy could play the British spy well.
Daniel Craig has been an incredible Bond. He’s very physical, he looks lethal. You genuinely believe this is someone who could kill a man.
"He’s complained about doing the part because he’s put himself through a lot physically, but he will do the next movie, and then I think Tom Hardy could be a good Bond. I’d be happy to see him do it. You need an actor who can put a bit of wiggle into it, that’s what makes Bond."
No Time To Die has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and it is now being scheduled for a worldwide release in November.
