Yasir Hussain Replies to Actors Supporting Dirilis: Ertugrul
Yasir Hussain counters those actors who supported the Turkish series
Popular actor of Pakistan industry Yasir Hussain raised his voice against airing of the Turkish Drama Ertugrul Ghazi on National Television of Pakistan, PTV.
Earlier, Yasir Hussain took to his Instagram to clarify his view point about the airing of Turkish content through his stories. His point was to keep away the imported clothes and Turkish content for the survival of their own industry.
He further clarified his stance about his non-supportive behaviour towards the series Ertugrul Ghazi. He said, “When your brother, sister and father will be out of work and Turkish people will be given those jobs, maybe then you’ll understand what I’m seeing. PTV is national TV. Keep that in mind.”
These stories did not halt his clarification. He went on to say about those technicians and actors who will suffer from the airing of this Turkish content for a year. “Who will give jobs to the actors and technicians,” he questioned.
The Lahore se aagay actor further cleared that he is not associated with PTV and was only putting forward his point of view.
Soon after the posts, Yasir, 35 was brutally trolled and abused on different social media platform saying that he has made it a political issue.
Many actors supported Yasir on his bold step and spoke in favor of him. While others supported the airing of the Turkish show which includes Neelam Munir, Mehwish Hayat and few others.

Mehwish Hayat took to her Twitter account and shared her thoughts by saying, “I don’t know what the fuss is all abt? At the end of the day lets accept Dirilis #Ertugrul for what it is; an educational drama series which has historical significance & great moral lessons.”
The Baandi actor recorded his response to his peers from the industry. He asked, “Can the actors who are saying we should improve our content improve the content when they on the set," he wrote, adding that it was not actors' jobs to improve the content.
On the other hand, the Turkish series has swept away all the records of previously aired turkish dramas and is trending on You Tube everyday.
