Zhalay Sarhadi Joins Yasir Hussain Clan Over Hiring Esra Bilgic
Zhalay said earlier, ‘It’s a slap to our faces’
Renowned Pakistani actress and model Zhalay Sarhadi explained her previous statement about Turkish fame Esra Bilgic in which she shed light on giving preference to foreign models over Pakistani artists.
Clarifying her stance over Esra Bilgic, she simplified her statement, “I said slap for those people who don’t promote our content and actors. The reason why I always talk about the economy is that if our jobs would be given to our own people it would be beneficial for Pakistan. Do you think giving our tax money to foreign actors in double currently is the right thing?”
She has got a point though! What do you think?
The love and massive fan-following which Esra has got in Pakistan through social media was huge which made the brands thought about giving brand ambassadorship in her hands. But, where the public was so supportive to see their ‘Halime Sultan’ modeling for their favorite brands, few celebrities joined Yasir’s clan in opposing this decision. According to their viewpoint, local artists should be provided with this opportunity as it will generate money within the country. To some extent, they are correct!
Now let’s dig in what Zhalay had said earlier about hiring Esra as a brand ambassador. She expressed her thoughts in an interview, “We have short term gains. If you have chosen Halima and made her a brand ambassador over here, its a slap to our faces. It’s an actual slap to our faces. Why are you borrowing a star from another country?”
She also provided support to Yasir’s statements and said, “Why don’t you create anything over here? Why are people afraid to create in this country? So I totally support Yasir Hussain in the debate.”
Although Zhalay has no grudges for the Turkish beauty as she praised her and said, "She is amazing, nobody is taking her stardom away from her.”
